Earlier this month, Portner & Shure attorney, Kevin Ruby, helped his client win a $90,000 verdict for molding coming off a wall and laying on the floor when she tripped on the molding and fell on the floor. As a result, our client twisted to the right, which injured her hip and caused her to hit the back of her head on the arm of a chair. This accident occurred in November 2012, but it was not until this month that it was completed. This trial took place at the Circuit Court for Fairfax County in Virginia. The Court found the Defendant liable and our client received a favorable result in the trial. Our client was extremely happy with the result in her case.
