This month, Portner & Shure settled a Clarke County, Virginia workers’
compensation case for $105,000. This case arose two years ago when our
client was at work carrying a case of heavy welding equipment and he lost
his balance and fell. As a result, he injured his right shoulder with
a tear of the posterior-superior labrum. These injuries required surgical
repair and physical therapy. The workers’ compensation commission
presented our client with a favorable award of $105,000 for his injuries.
