About one year ago, our client was rear-ended in Fairfax County, Virginia resulting in moderate property damage. Our client required numerous medical treatments for his injuries, resulting in medical bills close to $52,000. The interesting part of this case was that our client did not sustain any new injuries in the accident. There were numerous prior injuries and surgeries, and that made it extremely difficult for negotiations with the insurance adjusters. The insurance company’s highest offer was nowhere close to covering medical costs. As a result, our Paralegal, Lora Hatton, filed suit to litigate this case in court. Soon after, the insurance company made an offer for $125,000 to settle the case outside of court. This result was a very favorable settlement for our client and he was extremely happy with the result.
