What Does It Mean to Be a Rising Stars℠ Member?
In order to become a Rising Stars℠ member for a given year, an attorney needs to stand up to a rigorous selection process. Super Lawyers® actually uses a multiphase and patented procedure to make its choices.
The selection process is summed in four steps:
- Nominations are collected by legal peers and trusted third parties.
- Super Lawyers® conducts independent research, checking for case results, years of experience, other professional awards, pro bono work, and much more.
- A Blue Ribbon Panel of esteemed legal professionals review the most outstanding of candidates.
- The final selection process is concluded and the yearly results are announced.
No more than 2.5% of all active attorneys in a given region and practice area can become a Rising Stars℠ member. Additionally, all Rising Stars℠ members must be either under the age of 40 or have less than 10 years of practice experience.
