Below, we detail some of our most recent case results:

In a medical malpractice case in Maryland, the plaintiff was a pregnant woman who reported that her water broke but was sent home by hospital staff. She went into labor the next day and her baby was born with complications. We settled prior to trial for $400,000.

In Chantilly, VA, a car accident case resulted in a $457,000 settlement for the injury victims. Two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars was awarded to the driver, $156,000 was provided to one passenger, and $51,000 was provided to another passenger. The injury victims were T-boned by a driver who failed to yield.

In October 2019, our client was injured in a rear end collision at the intersection of Route 175 and Washington Blvd. in Howard County, MD. The plaintiff had surgery for blunt chest trauma. Attorney Portner was able to reduce the plaintiff’s medical bills almost completely and recover the full $100,000 policy from the insurance company, resulting in a considerable net award for the client.

Our client sustained multiple broken ribs, a fractured sternum, and a severe concussion and resulting memory loss in a rear end collision on Route 7 in Manassas, VA. The insurance company argued that the plaintiff’s memory loss was a pre-existing condition, but Attorney Portner resolved the case for $400,000 in coverage.

In a July 2019 car accident, the plaintiff’s car collided with an SUV that made an illegal U-turn. The injury victims sustained soft tissue injuries that were treated in the hospital, resulting in substantial medical expenses. The insurance company attempted to claim that the medical bills were inflated. Conversely, Attorney Portner argued that the bills were still the responsibility of the insurance company and settled the case for $50,000.

We achieved a maximum settlement from USAA and Liberty Mutual for the victim of a motorcycle accident in Stafford, VA. The injury victim, who was injured when a vehicle unexpectedly turned in front of him, underwent ankle surgery as a result of the collision and was able to recover $100,000 to cover his medical expenses.

Our team recovered $100,000 in compensation for the loved ones of a wrongful death victim in Bel Air, MD. In November of 2019, the plaintiff drove around a blind curve and hit a stopped bus that did not provide any indication that it was not running. Attorney Portner argued that the blind curve diminished the defendant’s claims of the plaintiff’s negligence, resulting in a substantial recovery.

A rear end collision case resulted in a $75,000 award for the injury victim. The accident, which occurred on VA-28 in Fairfax, caused a severe concussion and a spleen laceration in the plaintiff. The insurance company argued that the plaintiff’s medical bills were inflated, but Attorney Portner recovered full coverage for the plaintiff.

Our client was injured in a T-bone collision that resulted in a broken foot. We recovered the full $100,000 settlement for the plaintiff. Some of the medical expenses were written off, leaving our client with an award of $60,000.

We recovered $65,000 in compensation for a client who sustained neck and back pain and chest wall contusions in a rear end collision with a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 near Fredericksburg, VA.
