Claudia Hernandez

Claudia was born in Honduras and came to the United States at the age of 10. When Claudia first came to the United States, she – nor anyone else in her family – could speak English. As a result, she faced challenges in school and watched her family members struggle with their daily lives because of their inability to speak English. When Claudia recognized the importance of learning English, she was determined to master the language. She quickly learned to communicate with her teachers and was able to help her family with translating.

Claudia's ability to speak fluently in both English and Spanish is what made her a valuable asset to Portner & Shure since she first started with the company as a receptionist. Since then, she has become one of our top paralegals.

In 2016, she recovered approximately one million dollars for our clients. Further, for her exceptional service, the firm recognized her with the “2016 Client Choice Award for Exceptional Service.” Her hard work, perseverance, friendly attitude, and drive to solve problems has allowed her to progress within the company quickly.

Claudia has learned how to battle to succeed. She uses this attitude when representing each of her Spanish-speaking personal injury clients. Claudia works in the Columbia office and frequently meets clients in the Silver Spring area.
