Elizabeth Bermudez

Elizabeth has been with the Firm since 2007. During this time she has helped lead the Firm’s expansion from one to eight offices. In fact, she relocated to Northern Virginia for three years to open the Tyson’s Corner office which she still manages. Her efforts have helped the Firm gain recognition as one of the top personal injury firms throughout all of Maryland and Virginia.

Prior to being the Law Firms Tyson’s Virginia Office manager and Personal Injury Claims Manager, Elizabeth ran a paralegal desk that recovered in excess of $1,000,000 per year for more than 8 years. In doing so, she focused on the personal injury needs of the Hispanic community throughout this region. Many of the people she helped now look to Portner & Shure as the Law Firm for all of their friends and family. Therefore, it is not surprising that over the last ten years Portner & Shure has been routinely recognized as the leading personal injury, criminal defense, and immigration Firm for the Hispanic community in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Our personal injury claims paralegals, and their assistants, approximately thirty to forty people, report directly to Elizabeth. All case intakes and client issues are initially reviewed by Elizabeth, and ultimately by Mr. Portner, using a sophisticated case management system. With the aid of a great team, an extraordinary case management system and daily meetings with Mr. Portner, Elizabeth has helped recoveries from the auto tort department exceed $2 million a month from the major insurance companies. Further, the claims department has obtained hundreds of 5 Star reviews for its service and results under her supervision.

Elizabeth also has her hand in managing the Immigration practice because of her desire to help the Hispanic community. She came to this country from El Salvador while just 14 years old. As she reflects on her own experience, she passionately helps Portner & Shure clients obtain dedicated and experienced counsel for work permits, green cards and asylum.

Finally, Elizabeth deals directly with many of the radio and TV stations throughout Maryland and Virginia. Commercial spots and ad placement are secured each month due to her efforts and creativity.
